An exhibition on the archaeology conducted during the construction of Crossrail is currently being held at the Museum of London Docklands. The finds from the excavation reflect what was discovered within each of a number of sections of the route and covers material from the prehistoric to the Victorian era. The exhibition runs until the first week in September 2017, is free, and the Museum is an eight minute walk from the Canary Wharf Tube Station

DIG BASING! - and other excavation opportunities.

Basingstoke Archaeological & Historical Society (BAHS) are carrying out further test digs over the weekend 23rd/24th September. Once again members of NEHHAS are welcome to take part. For more information contact Tony Wright.

There are also two joint UCL/BAHS excavations being held during August which may be of interest.

National University of Ireland, Galway

NUI Galway College of Arts, Social Sciences, & Celtic Studies are offering a Diploma in Irish Archaeology (online) aimed at anyone with an interest in the past, in archaeology, and/or Ireland.
